The Dalmore The Quartet is a Highland single malt from one of Scotland's most revered distilleries, forming part of the distillery's Ensemble Collection alongside The Trio and The Quintet. As its name suggests, this expression draws its character from four distinct cask types, a signature approach that defines the house style at The Dalmore.
Following initial maturation in ex-bourbon casks, the whisky is refined in rare 30 year old Matusalem sherry casks, aged Apostoles sherry casks and fine Bordeaux Cabernet Sauvignon barriques. The result is a deep, mahogany-hued malt brimming with dark fruit, candied orange, raisin and creamy caramel, giving way to ripe cherry, dark chocolate, espresso and gently spiced oak on the palate.
Rich, velvety and beautifully layered, The Quartet balances opulent sherry sweetness with elegant wine notes and the classic soft, fruity Dalmore character. It makes a memorable after-dinner dram and a fine addition to any Highland whisky collection.
