The original recipe hails from Maison Archambeaud Freres, a distinguished distillery in Bordeaux established in 1820. Paul Archambeaud, the final steward of this illustrious house, bequeathed a small black notebook brimming with hundreds of clandestine family recipes. This notebook, now entrusted to his grandson Renaud de Barry, has facilitated the creation of this singular bitter, crafted with approximately 20 botanicals and devoid of synthetic aromas.
