Stache House started in 2015 as a home experiment with cold drip coffee and has grown into a small batch Melbourne distillery with a cellar door at Carrum Downs. Coffee liqueur remains the house speciality, but the fruit range has expanded steadily to take in watermelon, mulberry, lychee, dragonfruit, mango and passionfruit.
Peach sits at the softer, rounder end of that line-up. Expect ripe stone fruit, a little floral lift and a texture that stays juicy rather than syrupy, with the fruit doing the work rather than the sugar.
Straightforward to use behind the bar, whether that is a bellini, a peach spritz, an iced tea style long drink, or simply poured over ice.
