Pyrette is the Heathcote Shiraz made by the Bindi team, sourced from a carefully managed vineyard near Colbinabbin on the Mount Camel Range. The vines sit high on the range's deep red, rocky Cambrian soils on a cooler easterly slope, and the fruit is picked earlier than most Heathcote Shiraz to preserve freshness and lift.
Made with wild yeast and matured in French oak, this is an elegant, medium-weight Shiraz. Floral violet aromas mingle with blueberry and darker spiced plum fruit, backed by a touch of charred smokiness and green peppercorn. Silky and energetic across the palate, it shows well-defined, almost Northern Rhone character while remaining true to its Heathcote origins.
Refined and savoury, it balances gentle muscle with real drinkability.
