Pressing Matters is a small Tasmanian estate at Tea Tree in the Coal River Valley, a short drive from historic Richmond and Hobart. Its Riesling range is inspired by the wines of the Mosel and is labelled by residual sugar, running from R0 through R9 and R69 to the sweet R139. The vines are grown on their own roots and densely planted.
The R0 is the driest wine of the range, a bone-dry style from a single cool-climate vineyard. It typically shows lifted aromas of lime and citrus blossom with hints of green apple and pear. The palate is clean and finely structured, driven by bright natural acidity, citrus fruit and minerality, with a long, refreshing finish and the backbone to age well in the cellar.
Vintages may vary. Email us at hello@barrelandbatch.com.au if you would like confirmation.
