With all sorts of casks at all stages of maturation the spirit thief made its way into 25 casks that day. Many of them were amazing but a couple really stopped us in our tracks.
This whisky has spent just shy of nine years in a single ex-port cask. Bottled at natural cask strength, it’s like golden syrup to the eye. The nose has raisins, red fruits, sultanas and leather with light hints of liquorice. The palate is mouth-filling with buttery caramel, dried cranberries and cinnamon. The full mouth-feel extends through a long finish with more caramel, white chocolate and booze soaked raisins.
Nant single casks of this age are going to be extremely hard to get from here and we fought tooth and nail to get this one! We can’t recommend this whisky highly enough and hope you all get a chance to experience it.
