Mezzo is a Limestone Coast label from winemakers Keeda Zilm and Luke Broadbent, built around the idea of cool-climate wines at an everyday price. The name nods to the region's position midway between Adelaide and Melbourne, and to the Italian families who helped shape its vineyards. The wines are made without acidification and see only real barrels for any oak.
This Shiraz comes from the cool, maritime-influenced vineyards of the Limestone Coast, where a longer, gentler ripening season builds flavour while keeping the fruit fresh. It pours deep crimson and leads with dark plum, blackberry and a twist of black pepper and spice.
The palate is medium-bodied and supple, with juicy berry fruit, fine tannins and a savoury, peppery lift that keeps it bright and food-friendly.
