Weingut Keller is widely regarded as one of Germany's greatest estates, and the Dalsheim Oberer Hubacker is one of its flagship dry Rieslings. Grosses Gewachs is Germany's classification for dry wines from the very finest grand cru sites, and the Hubacker vineyard in Dalsheim is a Keller monopole planted on deep limestone soils in Rheinhessen.
This is a powerful yet precise Riesling, built around taut acidity and a deep vein of stony minerality. Expect citrus, orchard fruit and white peach lifted by smoky, flinty complexity, with a saline, chalky finish that carries real length. It is a wine made to reward time in the cellar.
Hand-crafted by Klaus-Peter and Julia Keller, the wine is fermented with wild yeasts and given long lees ageing to build texture and depth.
