Hare's Chase Vigilance Shiraz is sourced from the celebrated Marananga sub-region of the Barossa Valley, a pocket of the valley long prized for producing some of the most concentrated and expressive Shiraz in the country. Made at the estate's hilltop winery in Marananga by winemaker Matt Reynolds, this is a contemporary expression of classic Barossan style, crafted under a philosophy of minimal intervention.
In the glass it pours a deep garnet with a bright, dark ruby hue. The nose lifts with dark cherry, black plum and mulberry, layered with cracked black pepper, five spice and vanilla, finishing on briary, earthy tobacco notes. The palate flows in a velvety, seamless line of ripe black fruits, with ferrous minerality threading through supple, finely woven tannins.
Hare's Chase is a certified member of Sustainable Winegrowing Australia and farms with care for the valley's native biodiversity, ensuring each bottle reflects the place it comes from.
