Six Grapes takes its name from the stencil that Graham's coopers once marked on the casks holding the house's finest young wines. It is one of the original Graham's blends, drawn from the same Douro quintas that supply the estate's most serious bottlings, and it is only lightly filtered before bottling so it keeps its depth and texture.
The colour is a deep ruby. Ripe plum, black cherry and fragrant dark berries fill the nose, with a lick of dark chocolate behind them. The palate is full bodied and luscious, showing rich black fruit, cassis and a hint of spice over an excellent structure, closing long and warm.
Pour it with dark chocolate desserts, mature cheddar or a wedge of Stilton. It is ready to drink now and needs no cellaring.
