A single malt matured in ex-oloroso sherry casks for nine years – its characteristic weighty spirit is present even in this youthful expression from Glenfarclas. There are soft, fruity aromas of dried fig, dates and red grapes on the nose , followed by a gentle spicy and nutty character reminiscent of almond, cardamom and clove on the palate.
Tasting Notes:
Nose: The sweet sherry cask influence is unmistakable - fruity aromas of ripe grapes in harmonious balance with spicy tones of cardamom and cinnamon.
Palate: Soft and round in the taste with strong notes of soft vanilla and roasted nuts, plus juicy tones of dried figs and dates - above all the sweet sherry.
Finish: Medium finish - the sherry is now very present, with slight hints of nuts and oak.
