FAIR Açai Liqueur is made exclusively from hand-harvested açai berries from the Amazon rainforest in Brazil. Rich in antioxidants and fiber, the açai berry is rightly considered a superfood. To preserve the full aroma of the ripe berries, we first produce an açai distillate. We then slowly reduce the distillate by adding fair trade liquid sugar and demineralized water for perfect balance.
FAIR Açai Liqueur is excellent for drinking neat on ice or as an ingredient in delicious cocktails. It is low in sugar and, with its 22.0% alcohol by volume, is a perfect complement to many spirits.
The açaí berry grows on the açaí palm, which is primarily found in the Amazon rainforest of Brazil. These palms can grow up to 25 meters tall and have long, feathery leaves that grow at the ends of the trunks. The açaí palm thrives in humid, swampy areas where it can obtain sufficient water.
Tasting Notes
Aroma: Intense aromas of ripe blackberry and raspberry jam with a great balance between alcohol and sweetness.
Taste: Very smooth with pronounced aromas of blueberries.
Finish: Lingering violet and floral finish.
