Domaine Moreau-Naudet was founded in 1950 and built its reputation under Stéphane Moreau, who took over the family vines in 1991. Since 2016 his widow Virginie has continued the work, farming with organic treatments only, tending the vines by hand, harvesting manually and keeping yields low.
Les Pargues is a lieu-dit on a ridge between the Premier Crus of Montmains and Vosgros, sharing the favourable exposure of Vaillons and Montmains. The domaine's old vines here average more than 50 years of age and give naturally small crops. A portion of the wine is matured in older oak barrels, with no new oak, and the rest in tank, creating a textured, generous Chablis of pear, citrus and juicy green apple, with a stony mineral core, crisp acidity and a long, saline finish.
Pour alongside oysters, grilled prawns, roast chicken or a creamy seafood risotto.
