Domaine Corcia is a small family estate in Mercurey, the largest red wine village of Burgundy's Côte Chalonnaise. The Corcia family took over the former Domaine de la Vieille Fontaine in 2021, with Raphaël Corcia leading the vineyard and cellar work and converting the vines to organic farming.
En Grillot is a section of just over half a hectare within a larger vineyard, planted with old Pinot Noir vines dating from the 1940s and 1950s. Partial whole-bunch fermentation and long macerations draw out plenty of character: plum, red berries, rose petal and orange zest lead to a medium to full-bodied palate with supple tannins and a distinctly saline finish.
Pair with roast lamb, duck, veal or a wild mushroom risotto.
