Domaine Corcia is a small family estate in Mercurey, in Burgundy's Côte Chalonnaise. The Corcia family took over the former Domaine de la Vieille Fontaine in 2021, and Raphaël Corcia now manages both vineyard and cellar, farming organically with cover crops, hand canopy management and organic composts.
Les Crêts is a premier cru set on calcareous slopes above Les Nauges, and the domaine's red comes from just over half a hectare of Pinot Noir planted in 1949. Partial whole-bunch fermentation and long macerations shape a refined, medium to full-bodied red with plum, sweet red berries and spice, framed by fine, powdery tannins and a mineral finish.
The flagship red of the estate, it pairs well with roast lamb, beef fillet, game birds or mushroom dishes, and will reward some time in the cellar.
Vintages may vary. Email us at hello@barrelandbatch.com.au if you would like confirmation.
