Domaine Collotte is a family estate based in Marsannay at the northern end of the Côte de Nuits, tending a patchwork of vineyards in and around the village. Their Cuvée de Noble Souche is a Bourgogne Rouge with genuine character, drawn largely from notably old Pinot Noir vines.
Hand-picked and fully de-stemmed, the fruit is fermented and raised in tank to preserve its freshness and vibrancy. The result is a wine that is fruity and lightly spicy on the nose, with red berries and a gentle peppery lift.
The palate is supple and crisp, with juicy red fruit and an easygoing charm that makes it a natural match for charcuterie, pasta or a simple weeknight meal. Elegant and approachable, it is a generous introduction to the pleasures of village Burgundy.
