From one of Beaujolais' most storied co-operatives, Vignerons de Bel Air, this Beaujolais-Villages is crafted from hand-harvested Gamay grown on granite soils across the rolling hills south of the Maconnais. The vines average an impressive 47 years of age, lending real depth and character to the fruit.
Displaying an intense ruby colour in the glass, the nose is alive with fragrant strawberry, raspberry and red cherry. On the palate it's lively and supple, with rich, ripe fruit flavours that remain beautifully balanced. Traditional semi-carbonic maceration brings out the juicy, fruit-forward charm that Beaujolais does so well, finishing with lovely persistence.
A brilliant everyday red — perfect slightly chilled alongside charcuterie, roast chicken or a simple pasta.
