Didier Dagueneau set the benchmark for great Sauvignon Blanc in the upper Loire, and the domaine that bears his name continues his legacy with organic and biodynamic farming and meticulous winemaking. Blanc Etc. is the estate's more approachable cuvée, offering a wonderful introduction to its style.
It is fresh, rich and surprisingly lush for a Sauvignon Blanc, with aromas of pear, elderflower, grapefruit and cut grass, lifted by chalk, candied mint and a smoky, struck-flint note. The palate is textural and mineral, with bright acidity and a remarkably long finish.
A pure, characterful white, it is delicious with oysters, shellfish, grilled fish, salads and goat's cheese.
