Corralejo Gran Añejo is the pinnacle expression from Tequilera Corralejo, distilled at the historic Hacienda de Corralejo in Pénjamo, Guanajuato, one of the few estates permitted to make tequila outside Jalisco. It is crafted entirely from Blue Weber agave, slow-cooked in traditional clay ovens before a double distillation through column and copper pot stills.
This extra-aged tequila spends a minimum of two years resting in French Limousin oak, which lends it remarkable depth and a deep golden colour. The nose is rich and inviting, with chocolate, vanilla, walnut and warm woody spice, while the palate is silky and layered, offering caramel, citrus and sweet vanilla wrapped in well-integrated oak.
The finish is long and full-bodied, lingering with gentle wood and dark spice. Presented in the brand's iconic crown-shaped bottle topped with a gold cross, it is as striking on the shelf as it is in the glass, and makes a memorable sipping tequila.
