Cobaw Ridge was established in the Macedon Ranges in 1985 by Alan and Nelly Cooper. Their vineyard sits more than 600 metres above sea level near Kyneton, making it one of the coldest grape-growing sites in the country. It is certified organic and biodynamic, and every bottle is estate grown, made and bottled.
The Chardonnay reflects its chilly, granite-based site with a lean, detailed and finely balanced style. Green apple, lemon and grapefruit lead into yellow stone fruit, with lemongrass, ginger and a saline, flinty minerality. Subtle nutty notes add texture, and taut acidity carries a long, fresh finish.
Serve with grilled fish, scallops, roast chicken or soft cheeses.
Vintages may vary. Email us at hello@barrelandbatch.com.au if you would like confirmation.
