Le Clos du Caillou is a celebrated estate based in Courthézon, with a slice of vines famously declassified to Côtes du Rhône despite sharing the same galets-strewn soils as its neighbouring Châteauneuf-du-Pape vineyards. Le Caillou Blanc is the estate's southern Rhône white, drawn from sandy and gravel-rich parcels and built around a blend of Viognier, Clairette, Grenache Blanc and Roussanne.
The 2024 shines with golden highlights and an exotic, fragrant nose of pineapple, passionfruit and white blossom. The palate is creamy yet vibrant, layering stone fruit and white-fleshed orchard fruit over a saline, mineral core. A gentle bitter twist on the finish keeps everything fresh and gastronomic.
Pairs naturally with grilled prawns, herbed chicken, goat cheese salads or any summery seafood spread.
