Château Rieussec 1er Grand Cru Classé Sauternes 2015 375ml

Château Rieussec is a 1er Grand Cru Classé of Sauternes, ranked in the 1855 Classification and long considered one of the most consistent names in the appellation. The 2015 is a blend of roughly 86% Sémillon and 14% Sauvignon Blanc, picked grape-by-grape as noble rot takes hold across the vineyard's limestone and gravel-clay soils.

Presented in a 375ml half bottle, the wine shows a delicate golden hue with soft green glints. The nose is richly aromatic — citrus zest and lemon tart lifted by toasted brioche, apricot jam, honey, mint and wild flowers. The palate is polished and gracious, weaving mandarin zest and candied orange through vibrant acidity and a long, precise finish.

A benchmark Sauternes with decades of ageing potential ahead, ideal with foie gras, blue cheese, or simply on its own.
