Cascina Luisin is a small, traditional estate in Barbaresco, farmed by the Minuto family for well over a century. The Asili cru is one of the most prized vineyards in the appellation, and this bottling is a pure expression of Nebbiolo from that famous site.
Made with long macerations and aged in large casks in the classic Piedmontese style, it is a fragrant, finely structured Barbaresco. Look for aromas of violet, rose petal and sour cherry, lifted by spice and a hint of tar. The palate is elegant and silky, with fine, velvety tannins, bright acidity and a long, perfumed finish.
Drinking well now and built to age gracefully, it pairs beautifully with braised meats, risotto, mushroom dishes and aged cheeses.
