Bernard Baudry Chinon Les Grezeaux 2020 750ml

Les Grezeaux is a 100% Cabernet Franc wine sourced from the estate’s oldest vines, aged between 40 and 60 years. These vines are situated on a gravelly terroir with underlying limestone and clay, located on the Sonnay plateau above Cravant, in front of the Baudry cellar. According to Matthieu Baudry, this parcel excels in warm, dry vintages, and consequently, Les Grezeaux is produced only in such years, with no production in cooler, wetter years such as 2013. The grapes are harvested manually, followed by fermentation in cement vats for a duration of 15-20 days. Post-fermentation, the wine is matured in cement until bottling, which occurs two winters after the harvest.
