Berliner Luft Peppermint Liqueur is a German peppermint liqueur (Pfefferminzlikr) produced by the traditional family firm Schilkin in Berlin-Kaulsdorf, a Berlin institution since 1932. Its name translates as "Berlin Air," and the liqueur has earned cult status as a fresh, invigorating shot closely tied to the city's nightlife.
Clear and colourless, it delivers an intense, pure peppermint character that is crisp and cooling rather than syrupy. Macerated mint leaves give it deep, stable peppermint oils, while a soft, gently sweet body carries subtle herbal freshness and a clean, long finish with a lift of menthol.
It is at its best served ice-cold and neat, poured straight from the freezer as a chilled shot for an arctic-fresh hit. It also works well over ice or as a mint-fresh component in long drinks and cocktails.
