Switchback is an XPA from BentSpoke Brewing Co, the independent Canberra brewery founded in 2014 by two-time Australian Champion Brewer Richard Watkins and co-founder Tracy Margrain. From its Braddon brewpub and Mitchell brewery, BentSpoke has built its name on hop-forward beers in their signature 375ml cans.
This extra pale ale is hopped with Centennial, Chinook and Cascade, layering intense passionfruit, ripe feijoa, pineapple and stone fruit with notes of pine and fresh dankness, all balanced by a delicate malt base.
Light-bodied, sessionable and smooth-finishing, it is built as a refreshing reward after a day's adventure.
