From Domaine Alvina Pernot, founded in 2018 by Alvina Pernot and her husband Philippe Abadie in Puligny-Montrachet at the heart of the Côte de Beaune. Alvina is the granddaughter of the celebrated Paul Pernot, and after years working at the family domaine she struck out with her own project, sourcing exclusively white Burgundy from a mix of estate parcels and family-grown fruit. The wines are now made in the couple's own gravity-fed cellar in the village.
Meursault Premier Cru Les Perrières, widely regarded as the village's most distinguished site, sits on a stony, well-drained slope that consistently delivers wines of finesse and tension. This Chardonnay is precise and chiselled, with citrus zest, crushed stone, white peach and a fine saline grip carrying through a long finish.
