White Possum Scarletta Bitter Citrus Amaro 500ml

White Possum Scarletta is a sophisticated citrus amaro meticulously crafted in the style of the iconic Italian-made Campari. Utilizing homegrown and foraged lemon myrtle, along with a curated blend of assorted citrus peels and bitter roots, Scarletta presents an aromatic intensity and bracing bitterness. It is engineered for the creation of Negronis or Spritz cocktails, while also appealing to the discerning palate that relishes its bitterness served simply over ice with a lemon twist.

The production of this clean yet complex amaro involves peeling multiple varieties of locally cultivated oranges and lemons. These peels are then infused and distilled in conjunction with leaves from a lemon myrtle tree, planted shortly after the distillery's inception in 2014. Complementing these citrus botanicals is an assortment of infused and distilled bitter herbs and spices, with gentian root playing a pivotal role in establishing the amaro's bitter foundation. This meticulous process spans several months, culminating in a balanced flavor profile, upon which the liqueur is gently siphoned from the top of the vat. A touch of red food dye is incorporated to transition the liquid from orange to red prior to bottling.

To preserve the integrity of its rich flavors, the liqueur is intentionally left unfiltered, which may result in the presence of some sediment and oils over time. A simple shake of the bottle will restore its clarity.

Scarlett is devoid of any artificial flavors and preservatives, is vegan-friendly (utilizing no animal products or processes), and gluten-free. Note the inclusion of a small amount of red food dye, approximately five drops per bottle.
