This limited-edition release, A Night on Earth in Jerez, invites whisky lovers to experience New Year's Eve as celebrated in Jerez de la Frontera, the heartland of sherry wine in Spain. Known locally as "Nochevieja" or the "Old Night," the New Year's Eve festivities in Jerez are steeped in tradition and meaning, and this release from The Macallan is a tribute to those timeless customs. Crafted in the finest sherry-seasoned oak casks, this whisky captures the nostalgic flavors of home, making it a memorable gift for someone special.

"A combination of European and American sherry-seasoned casks has enabled us to capture the flavors, traditions, and María's memories of New Year in Jerez de la Frontera, the home of sherry wine."

To encapsulate this sentiment, A Night on Earth in Jerez features exclusive artwork by María Melero. Drawing from her fondest New Year memories, María’s design takes us on a journey through her beloved city. Beginning with a deep crimson sky over vineyards of sherry grape vines, it moves into the warmth of her city home, represented by the traditional azulejos (wall tiles typical of Jerez), and finally settles on golden-toned grapes, symbolizing the sherry that will one day infuse The Macallan’s casks.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: Honey-coated Pestiños (a traditional Spanish pastry), sweet raisins, cinnamon, anise, rich oak, and vibrant citrus.
• Palate: Sweet pastry notes, white grapes, honey-glazed almonds, vanilla, a balance of spices, and a touch of fresh rosemary.
• Finish: Sweet, vibrant, and warming.
