Speyburn Bradan Orach is a Speyside single malt from the Speyburn Distillery, set in a secluded glen near Rothes in the heart of Scotland's whisky country. Its name is Gaelic for "golden salmon", a nod to the fish that run the nearby River Spey and to the bright golden colour of the whisky itself.
Matured exclusively in American oak casks, this is a light, approachable malt built around fresh fruit and gentle sweetness. The nose offers green apple, honey and a lift of citrus alongside soft vanilla, while the palate is creamy and smooth with vanilla, baked apple, a hint of coconut and warm cinnamon spice.
The finish is sweet and easy-going, with vanilla and honey giving way to a touch of nutmeg and pepper. Vibrant and refreshing, it is an ideal everyday single malt and a welcoming introduction to the Speyside style.
