Australian Blonde is the sort of beer pretty much every regional brewery (and plenty of metropolitan ones, for that matter) have on their lineup: a beer in the kolsch space for drinkers after something that isn't too challenging.
Southern Highlands' offering is brewed with a fair amount of wheat in the grain bill, lightly hazy and the colour you’d expect from a beer called blonde. Light, floral hops derived from noble varieties and cracker-like malts are joined by a light fruitiness that seems yeast-derived, with an earthy, dry finish lying in wait.
