Prunotto has been at the centre of Piemontese winemaking since its founding in 1904, with vineyards spread across the Langhe, Monferrato and Roero hills. The Roero Arneis is sourced from the producer's holdings on the sandy hillsides north of the Tanaro river, the spiritual home of the Arneis grape and the only DOCG in Piedmont dedicated to a white variety.
Hand-harvested grapes are gently pressed and fermented in stainless steel under temperature control, with no oak influence at any stage. Lees contact provides quiet texture, and the wine is bottled young to preserve its aromatic lift and bright fruit character.
Pale straw with greenish reflections, the wine offers an aromatic nose of acacia blossom, citrus zest, white peach and tropical fruit. The palate is fresh and well balanced, with ripe orchard fruit, green apple, raw almond and savoury herbal notes carried through a clean, crisp finish.
