From one of Champagne's most respected grower-producers, the Pierre Gimonnet & Fils Special Club Cramant Grand Cru 2015 is a stunning Blanc de Blancs crafted entirely from 100% Chardonnay grown in the prestigious Grand Cru village of Cramant on the Cote des Blancs. The "Special Club" designation is among the highest honours in grower Champagne — awarded only to exceptional vintage cuvees that pass a rigorous blind tasting by the Club Tresors de Champagne, guaranteeing outstanding quality.
This cuvee is drawn from a selection of fourteen prized Chardonnay parcels in Cramant, including old vines ranging from 40 to over 100 years of age. Vinified in stainless steel to preserve purity and freshness, the wine spent more than four years ageing on its lees before disgorgement. Bottled as an Extra Brut with just 4 g/L dosage, it lets the chalk-driven terroir of Cramant speak with clarity and precision.
On the nose, expect expressive fruity and spicy aromas, while the palate is lively and mineral with a touch of roundness and a taut, fresh finish. Only 3,904 bottles were produced, making this a genuinely rare and collectible Champagne. 12.5% ABV.
