Lindemans Framboise is a raspberry lambic from Brouwerij Lindemans, the family brewery that has been crafting lambic in Vlezenbeek, just outside Brussels, since 1822. Lambic is a spontaneously fermented beer, and Lindemans blends it with raspberries to create one of Belgium's most recognisable fruit beers.
It pours a deep ruby red with a soft pink head. The aroma is bursting with fresh raspberry, and the palate opens with the sweet yet tart flavour of ripe berries before a gentle touch of lambic sourness comes through. Light-bodied and effervescent, it finishes clean and refreshing.
Serve well chilled in a flute or tulip glass. It is a natural match for chocolate, berry desserts and cheesecake, and also makes a festive alternative to sparkling wine as an aperitif.
