Neptunia was inspired by the Ayrshire coastline that runs past the Hendrick's Gin Palace, where the Atlantic weather arrives without much warning. Master distiller Lesley Gracie built it on the standard Hendrick's base and layered in coastal botanicals gathered nearby, including sea kelp and shoreline thyme.
The familiar rose and cucumber signature is still there, but it has been pushed towards salt and citrus. The nose is bright with lemon and lime over soft florals and a distinct suggestion of sea air. The palate is smooth and balanced, citrus running through the middle with a gentle herbal bitterness and a savoury saline note that keeps pulling it back from sweetness.
It closes crisp and clean, salt and citrus lingering. Excellent in a Gin and Tonic with a wedge of grapefruit, and a natural fit for a coastal style Martini with a twist of lemon.
