Grahams Late Bottled Vintage 2013 Port 1L

Alexandre Mariz, the estate manager at Graham’s Quinta dos Malvedos and neighbouring Quinta do Tua, expressed strong optimism for the 2013 harvest. Working alongside head winemaker Charles Symington and Malvedos winemaker Henry Shotton, they carefully selected the finest vineyards from both properties to source the wines for the 2013 Late Bottled Vintage (LBV) blend. Notably, the vinha velha (old vines) and Tinta Amarela at Tua provided some of the highest quality wine lots, while both properties also contributed excellent Touriga Nacional and Touriga Franca grapes. Smaller contributions were made by old vines from other vineyards traditionally supplying Graham's, such as Quinta da Vila Velha and Quinta do Vale de Malhadas. The grapes were carefully trodden in the lagares at the small Malvedos winery.

Graham’s 2013 LBV displays a very deep purple color with a pronounced garnet edge. The wine presents enticing aromas of red and black fruits, complemented by delightful mint and eucalyptus notes. On the palate, it showcases Graham's characteristic richness, offering delicious blackberry fruit accompanied by well-ripened, velvety tannins that contribute to its refreshing and lively character. The finish exemplifies Graham's renowned complexity and elegance.
