Fraser Gallop Estate is a family-owned winery in the Wilyabrup subregion of Margaret River, Western Australia, a district renowned for its structured, age-worthy Cabernet Sauvignon. The estate's Parterre range sits at the heart of its portfolio, showcasing fruit from the home vineyard in a Bordeaux-inspired style.
The Parterre Cabernet Sauvignon is a Cabernet-dominant blend, built predominantly from Cabernet Sauvignon with a small proportion of complementary Bordeaux varieties, all sourced from dry-grown estate vines. Dry-growing encourages the vines to root deeply, yielding concentrated fruit with a strong sense of place.
Aromas and flavours of cassis, mulberry and blackberry compote are layered with bay leaf, fresh mint and liquorice, along with subtle savoury notes of nori and oyster shell. Spicy, nutty oak frames the fruit, and the medium to full-bodied palate is carried by fine, velvety tannins and a long, dry finish.
Vintages may vary. Email us at hello@barrelandbatch.com.au if you would like confirmation.
