Domaine Vincent Gaudry is an 11-hectare Sancerre estate in the hamlet of Chambre, near Sury-en-Vaux. Vincent Gaudry has farmed the property since 1991, converting to certified organic in 2002 and becoming the first Demeter-certified biodynamic producer in Sancerre in 2004. 'Tournebride' is the domaine's Sancerre blanc built from a blend of three of the appellation's classic terroirs.
100% Sauvignon Blanc sourced across three contrasting soil types: caillottes (small limestone pebbles) from Verdigny, terres blanches (Kimmeridgian marl) from Sury-en-Vaux, and silex from Saint-Satur. The result is a Sancerre of genuine complexity and depth, combining citrus and orchard fruit aromatics with chalky, flinty and saline minerality.
Hand-harvested and fermented spontaneously, roughly half in stainless steel and half in seasoned French foudres. Aged 18 months on fine lees without bâtonnage, then bottled unfined and unfiltered according to the lunar calendar.
