Cockburn's 10 Year Old Tawny Port 750ml

Cockburn's has been a fixture of the Douro since 1815, and this ten year old tawny shows what patient cask ageing does to Port. Wines from the house's finest upper Douro vineyards are matured in seasoned oak casks, slowly shedding their youthful colour and taking on the mellow, nutty character that defines the aged tawny style.

The colour is a bright tawny red. Candied fruit, toffee, caramel and honey lead on the nose, while the palate is beautifully rounded and mellow, with mature dried fruits and hints of walnut and almond carrying through to a long, luscious finish.

Serve it lightly chilled. It sits happily alongside crème brûlée, caramel desserts, hard cheeses or a bowl of roasted nuts, and it is just as good on its own after dinner.
