Cellini Grappa Riserva Barricata Prosecco 500ml

Cellini's Riserva Barricata is a grappa distilled from Glera, the Veneto grape behind Prosecco, then matured in oak. It is built as a reserve bottling, drawing together spirit from ten different harvests to give the blend real depth and consistency.

Time in wood has taken it to an amber gold, and the nose leads with vanilla and a gentle wisp of smoke over dried fruit, spring flowers and the fresh grape character that marks good Glera grappa. The palate is smooth and layered, with wood spice and toffee sitting alongside that vanilla sweetness.

The finish is warm, dry and lingering, spicy rather than sweet. This is a classic Italian digestivo: pour it at room temperature in a tulip glass after a long dinner, or add a measure to an espresso for a caffè corretto.
