BenRiach Triple Distilled 10 Year Old is a distinctive Speyside single malt from the BenRiach Distillery near Elgin. Where most Scotch is distilled twice, this expression is taken through a third distillation, an uncommon practice in Speyside that yields a lighter, purer and especially fruity spirit.
Matured for at least ten years in a combination of first-fill bourbon barrels, Pedro Ximénez sherry casks and virgin oak, it draws sweetness, dried-fruit richness and fresh oak structure from the three cask types. The nose is bright with glazed orchard fruit, fresh orange and creamy vanilla, while the palate brings apricot, apple peel, toasted almond and a wave of mocha cream.
The finish is soft and warming, with vanilla and raisin lingering alongside gentle oak spice. Smooth and entirely unpeated, it is a refined and elegant malt that rewards quiet contemplation.
