Belenkaya is one of Russia's biggest-selling vodka brands, launched in 2001 and built around traditional production and obsessive purification. The spirit is triple distilled, then passed through a tall column charcoal filter before being polished through quartz sand, part of a nine-stage purification process aimed at stripping out anything that gets in the way of a clean pour.
The result is exactly that. Crystal clear in the glass, with a silky mouthfeel and a soft, balanced palate showing green apple, a touch of plum and a gentle sweetness. Cracked white pepper and a cool minty freshness carry through a short, clean finish.
Built for straightforward drinking: serve it well chilled in a shot glass, or use it as a neutral, well-behaved base in a martini, moscow mule or bloody mary.
