Arran 18 Year Old is a beautifully mature single malt from the Isle of Arran, the island distillery that has become one of Scotland's most admired modern producers. This release is a marriage of hand-selected casks drawn from the distillery's maturing stocks, with sherry casks playing a leading role.
The nose is deep and inviting, showing dried fruits, citrus peel, chocolate and a rich seam of sherry sweetness over warm oak. On the palate it is full-bodied and generous, with raisins, figs, orchard fruit and dark chocolate balanced by gentle spice.
Bottled at natural colour and without chill filtration, it finishes long and warming with dried fruit and spice. This is a rewarding single malt to savour slowly.
