Duplessis own a precious 0.30 hectares in Le Clos 1% of the Grand Cru. Situated in the middle of the Cru, South Exposition. 55 year old vines. Duplessis ferments in the same manner as the 1er Crus but of course due to the terroir offers a richer, more dense style of Chablis.
"The 2022 Chablis Les Clos Grand Cru has a bright and lively bouquet, quite effervescent with candied orange peel, lemon zest, crushed stone and linden flowers. A lot of energy here. The palate is very well balanced with a touch of wild honey on the entry. This seems to have cohered a little more since last year, lightly spiced with a touch of white pepper on the aftertaste. Wonderful.
