Named after one of the family's granddaughters, it is grown on the estate's small cool climate vineyard on the edge of Melbourne, from vines that include original plantings and blocks dating to the early 1980s.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe 2023 to 2024 season was neither too hot nor too mild, and the resulting wine pairs delicious fruitiness with textural density and power. In past vintages Lily has shown rich yet elegant character, juicy fruit, a savoury backbone and long length, with oak sitting in the background.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe grapes are hand harvested, destemmed and fermented in small open fermenters, with some batches given extra skin contact before pressing and maturation in barrel.
