Based in Contrada Calderara near Randazzo, the estate farms a patchwork of old vineyards spread across several contrade, many planted with vines well over half a century old.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe Etna Bianco is led by Carricante, rounded out with smaller amounts of Catarratto, Inzolia, Grecanico and Minnella. Fruit is drawn from old vines on the north and east sides of the mountain, in Castiglione di Sicilia, Randazzo, Biancavilla and Milo, at altitudes of 600 to 900 metres. The result is a bright, lively white with a taut, mineral drive from the volcanic soils, crisp citrus and orchard fruit, and a steady, persistent finish.
