The Foggy Hill Vineyard was planted by Brian Croser in 2003 at Parawa, on the southern coastal ridge of the Fleurieu Peninsula, around 8 kilometres from the Southern Ocean and 350 metres above sea level.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e100% Pinot Noir from three Dijon clones (114, 115 and 777) planted on rootstocks in close-spaced rows, on sandy loam soils formed over the Cambrian-era Backstairs Passage Formation. Expect a fine-boned, mineral-laced wine with cranberry, rhubarb and cherry fruit, woven through with savoury fine tannins and a sinewy frame that combines elegance, depth of flavour and a distinctly cool-maritime expression.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eHand-picked from a low-yielding, low-UV vineyard managed minimalistically, with leaf-plucking after flowering to expose bunches.
