The domaine's flagship premier cru is Aux Malconsorts, where its vines date from plantings in the early 1970s.

Malconsorts lies at the southern end of Vosne-Romanée, directly beside the grand cru La Tâche, and is widely regarded as one of the finest premier crus in the Côte de Nuits. Cathiard's version is deeply perfumed and mineral, with layers of dark cherry, blackcurrant and violet, Vosne's signature exotic spice, a silky yet concentrated palate and a long, mouth-watering finish built on fine tannins.

This is a wine to cellar with confidence.
