It comes from the same gravel plots at Margaux-Cantenac as the grand vin, worked by the same vineyard and cellar teams and held to the same standards of selection.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eCabernet Sauvignon usually accounts for around three quarters of the blend, with Merlot and smaller amounts of Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. The wine is matured for roughly twenty months in French oak, close to 60 per cent of it new, which gives it a silky texture and well integrated structure.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIt carries the estate's hallmark perfume in a more immediate style: violets, red and black berries, cedar and fine spice, with supple tannins and a fresh, precise finish.
