The land has been certified biodynamic since 1993, when it was the herb farm behind the Jurlique skincare business founded by Erinn's parents, and the property now runs to some 75 hectares of vines, olives, orchards, vegetables and livestock.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe Summit vineyard is the heart of the farm, two hectares planted at Mount Barker in 2001 and 2002 at the unusually high density of 6,600 vines per hectare, sitting around 360 metres up with rows running east to west to soften the harshest sun. Only the finest parcels from this site make it into the Single Vineyard range.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe Pinot Noir it produces is fragrant and finely drawn rather than heavy, with red cherry and wild strawberry fruit, a sappy herbal lift and fine, powdery tannins carrying a savoury finish.
